Updated frontend on Google Analytics
|
Google, Inc. has updatede the Google Analytics with a new frontend, characterized by much better usability, performance and flexibility. This is the first major redesign after Google’s acquisition of Urchin (later renamed Google Analytics).
To mention a few new features the dynamic and personalized dashboard is a serious improvement of the tool, as you can now create your own personalized information. The automated report generator and subscription function is also fantastic as you can now lean back and get your reports in your mailbox.
The design is now completely up to date and let's say – a little web 2.0 alike. The graphs are now interactive and you can mouseover the charts to get detailed information on a specific date, a peak period or anything that is of you particular interest. Overall, the redesign is mostly graphical and means that the tool is now very appealing and nice to work in. And working has also gone faster as the reports are now being generated in a hurry which is great for us Web Analytics Professionals that are having the pleasure of watching the load bar of the browser for a collectively a couple of years of our lives. In short – life is just so much easier with the new version of Google Analytics.
